When Roddy tries to kick him out, Sid overpowers him, saying the apartment is his, and Roddy will become his servant now, doing whatever he says, even referring to Roddy as 'Jeves' ( a stereotypical name for a butler). In the beginning of the movie, Sid is a very messy, rude, and brash rat who immediately loves the apartment Roddy lives in, stealing the food, making himself at home. Tabitha returns home, thinking Sid was Roddy while holding up a cat, proclaiming them to be 'a new friend.' Sid screams in horror upon seeing the cat. ![]() ![]() Roddy makes the deal, giving Sid the apartment in exchange for helping Roddy get back to the sewers as they say their goodbyes.ĭuring the credits, Sid relaxes on the couch, enjoying his new posh life. Sid promises he'll be good and be the best pet. Roddy smacks him and tells him to flush him back, making Sid promise he'll be good to Tabitha, the little girl who owns him. Sid, thinking Roddy is going to flush him back, pleads with him to spare him, saying he's too accustomed to life above. Roddy puts it together that The Toad is going to drown the rats of the sewers and forces Sid to the bathroom. Sid tells him to take it easy, as he'll have to pee before half-time, and Sid doesn't want to miss a second of the game. Roddy, not wanting to admit to Rita he is alone, tries to play Sid off as his brother "Rupert." Sid however, knows Rita and her family personally, revealing Roddy's lie and laughs at how Roddy is actually alone.Īfter Rita leaves, Roddy, angry at Sid for all that he's endured in the sewers, tries to cope with his situation and stands up for himself, taking Sid's drink and chugging it down. Once Roddy and Rita get back the next day, he's shocked to see Roddy has found his way back. Later when Roddy calls up the apartment, Sid has visibly made the apartment filthy, not caring for breaking things or cleaning up. When Roddy tries to flush Sid back, Sid outsmarts him and pushes Roddy in, flushing him down the sewers. He declares the apartment as his and tries to force Roddy to be his butler. He is an overweight sewer rat who ends up in Roddy's apartment one night after he is shot through the pipes while sitting in a pub in the sewers.
